ABOUT US

Established in 1996, as a 501(c)(3), South Central Area Health Education Center, Inc. (AHEC) collaborates with regional partners to increase the capacity of the communities to address the unmet and disparate health needs of their citizens through educational intervention.

As a health workforce development agency, it is our objective to ensure diversity in the health care workforce by partnering with agencies and organizations to provide interdisciplinary training, continuing education, and cultural competence educational opportunities to health profession students, faculty, and providers in the south central region of Texas.
